Our Founder
Katherine’s proven track record includes successful support for the creation of a full pay-for-performance system for the Harrison School District in Colorado Springs working alongside the Superintendent, school administrators and teacher leaders. She also supported teachers with data analysis to determine ratings on the achievement portion of the pay for performance plan, and assisted teachers with daily data management and analysis, eventually supporting data analysis at the district level.
Katherine has also written curriculum maps for grades 3-6 for a district of 11,000 students. She continued to support the district by creating quarterly district-wide math, reading and science assessments, which contributed to markedly improved state test scores across the district. This work was completed while Katherine earned the rating of Distinguished Teacher and joined the top ten percent of teachers in the district in teacher performance and student results.
After returning to Cleveland, Katherine worked as a sixth grade teacher while pursuing her principal license. After obtaining her principal license, Katherine obtained a principal position opening a new charter school on Cleveland's eastside. The School grew from 150students to 300 over the course of its first year.
Katherine is now pursuing her dream to open a school in the heart of her hometown of Cleveland. Katherine brings with her a network of charter school leaders and visionaries that will support the success and longevity of Erudite Academy.
