FAQ
What grade levels do you serve?
Erudite Academy will serve Kindergarten and First Grade beginning in August of 2015. The following school year we will expand to second grade and plan to expand one grade level every year until 12th grade, graduating our first high school senior class in June of 2028!
Do students wear uniforms?
Yes. All students will wear uniforms, which will be purchased at the time of enrollment through the Erudite Academy office.
What will a day in the life of an Erudite Eagle look like?
Each child will arrive at school at 7:20am and prepare for free breakfast. Breakfast and character development classes begin at 7:30am. Core classes (english language arts, math, science, social studies) take place throughout the day, with an emphasis on reading and math. Students will also take PE classes every week and will be exposed to the arts (music, dance, theater, drawing, painting, and more!) through our artist in residence program. Every student enjoys free lunch and recess. At the end of each day, students are provided with an hour of tutoring, extended learning, and clubs five days a week. The school day ends at 4:30pm.
How will my student get to school?
Transportation to and from school is the responsibility of the family.
What if my income does not qualify my child for free breakfast and lunch?
Erudite Academy is committed to a fully free breakfast and lunch program for every family, and will therefore cover the cost of meals for any student who does not qualify for free and/or reduced meals.
What is character development?
The Erudite character development is a unique program aimed to grow the whole child by building confidence, communication and social/emotional competence. Children beginning at age five will learn lessons associated with problem solving, pride, hard work, peer interactions, and more. The program has monthly themes, which culminate in assemblies to celebrate the successes of each student and hear from speakers around the city and country who support our mission.
